What is PySol ?
Obviously, PySol is a solitaire game written in Python :-)
Why yet another solitaire game ?
The answer is simple - none of the existing games did meet my expectations...
Here are some of the highlights of PySol:
- based upon an extensible solitaire engine
- currently supports 4 different games - expect lots more to come
- includes my all time favorite "Gypsy"
- very nice look and feel
- unlimited undo & redo
- load & save games
- player statistics
- hint system
- demo games
- integrated help system
- PySol is portable across X, Windows and MacOS
- written in Python ;-)
- distributed under the GNU GPL
Cool. Where can I get it ?
Point your browser to http://wildsau.idv.uni-linz.ac.at/mfx/pysol.html
Screenshots are available as well.
What do I need to start playing ?
PySol requires Python 1.5 and Tcl/Tk 8.0. Both packages are
freely available for Unix, Windows and Macintosh.
See http://www.python.org/download/ for download instructions.
