[linux-users:34281] apm and Accelerated X Ver.4.1.2 (Re: xdic is great)

Accelerated X を使っていると、xdic や、xcalender などの Xaw を使ったア
プリケーションで *international: True にしている時、文字入力ウィンドウ
に入力しようとすると segmentation fault になってしまうという話題の後日
談です。

先日、ここに報告したように、Accel X を ver.4.1.2 にアップグレードするこ
とで上記の問題は解決されます。しかし、ver.4.1.2 では、新たな問題が生じ
ます。それは、apm とのコンフリクションがあるということです。具体的には、

1. サスペンジョンからレジュームした時、PCMCIAカードスロットが死ぬ。
/etc/rc.d/rc.pcmcia restart をしても、下記のエラーメッセージが出る。

	honkytonk[13:04:45]:~$ sudo /etc/rc.d/rc.pcmcia restart
	Shutting down PCMCIA services: cardmgr modules.
	Starting PCMCIA services:
	Initialization of i82365 failed

2. サスペンジョンからレジュームした時、たまに、画面の色が乱れる。

以上を Xig社に問い合わせると、次のような返事をもらいました。今のところ
は対策は無いようです。

なお、Panasonic Let'sNote mini (AL-N4) では、サスペンドで PCMCIA が死に
ますが、ハイバネーションはオッケーです。
Xdic に日本語入力できる魅力は捨てがたいので、私は ver.4.1.2 のままで使っ
ています。
