[vine-users:050316] TuxRacer が凄くおそいので改善したいのです


VineLinux2.5(FTP)です
TuxRacer(3D game)を楽しみたいと試してみたら、
あまりに遅いのでGeForceのハードウェア性能が出ていないのではないかと思い
NVidiaのHomePageよりドライバをもってきてインストールしてみました。
ですが、うまくいきません。

この二つのファイルをダウンロードし

$tar zxvf NVIDIA_kernel-1.0-2314.tar.gz
$cd NVIDIA_kernel-1.0-2314
$make
$su
$make install
$cd ..
$tar zxvf NVIDIA_GLX-1.0-2313.tar.gz
$su
$nake install

という手順をとり
後は/etc/X11/XF86Config-4を

Section "Device"内の
Driver	"nv"   を
Driver  "nvidia" に変更

しました。

エラーの状態はDualHeadの状態で
$startx -- +xinerama
とすると完全に固まってしまい
かといってXF86Config-4を最初のものに戻しても
OSごとサヨナラすることにはならないですが結局同じエラーメッセージです。

ちなみに
Section "Modules"内の
	Load "glx" をコメントアウトすると正常XWindowは起動するようになります。
ただしTuxRacerは動作しません。結局だめですね。

ただXWindowの起動時にNVidiaのロゴが出るようになったのには
ちょっと感動しましたけど
