プリンターの設定をしたあと、lpd の restart をしなかったに一票。
それで駄目なら、エラーに出ているとおり、/usr/sbin/checkpc -f
をやってみるのがよいかも(参照： man checkpc)。

OS を再起動すれば、lpd もあらためて起動されるわけですから、もう
今ごろはちゃんと印刷できるようになっているのではありませんか。
