途中経過です。

まずはDarwinStreamingServerのソースを入手します。
http://www.opensource.apple.com/projects/streaming/source/DSS- 
4_1_2.src.tar.gz

当然、
tar zxvf DSS-4_1_2.src.tar.gz
してから
cd DSS-4_1_2.src/
しました。

中に
Buildit
という実行ファイルがありましたのでそれを実行。

エラーメッセージもなく終了したので、「これはいけるかもしれない」と喜んで
Install
を実行したのですが、、、。

といった感じでどうもうまくいっていないようです。エラーメッセージの先となるディレクトリも見たのですが確かにファイルが何も書き込まれていません。

多分、buildとinstallのやり方に間違いがあるか不足した部分があるのかだと思います。
